Advances in technology have changed the way short run labels are manufactured. Expensive screen charges and tooling charges are entirely eliminated. One-of-a-kind labels and signs are economical to produce.

Most Economical Label: Calendared Vinyl Labels
Calendared vinyl labels are made of a 3 mil calendared film that is versatile, cost effective, and reliable for labels and signs of all kinds. Calendared vinyl labels have a clear, permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive. These adhesive backed labels can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces including aluminum, fiberglass, plastics, glass, and most non-porous painted surfaces.

Tip of the Trade: Choose calendared vinyl when you need a reliable, lower cost label that does not need to withstand extreme environmental conditions long term.
Serialized Labels / Barcode Labels / UID Labels
Most processes, like screen printing, make it too difficult and costly to include serialization or bar codes. With our resin thermal transfer and digital imaging processes, we can meet your requirements for serialization or bar coding with little or no additional cost to you. Most importantly, the variable information is as durable as the rest of the label image.
If known in advance, we can include serial numbers, bar codes, model numbers, contract numbers, or other variable information you require.

Tip of the Trade: Avoid choosing highly reflective label materials such as brushed silver polyester if including bar codes on your labels. A label that is too reflective may not work with all scanners.
Most Outdoor Durable Label: Cast Vinyl Labels
3M high performance 2 mil cast vinyl is a durable, dimensionally stable vinyl with a clear, pressure-sensitive adhesive designed to withstand a variety of severe weather and handling conditions.
Cast vinyl is available in many colors. This high performance labeling material is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications including interior and exterior signage, vehicle graphics and display graphics.
Cast vinyl labels can adhere to glass, metal, acrylic, polycarbonates, fiberglass, and painted surfaces. It is best used on flat surfaces with and without rivets, or simple curved surfaces.

Most Aggressive Adhesive Label: Pitbull Vinyl Labels
Pitbull Vinyl is a white, flexible vinyl with a clear, extremely aggressive permanent adhesive suited for hard-to-stick-to surfaces. The adhesive is 2 mils thick and will work for most surfaces including textured low energy plastics and metal surfaces. The service temperature range is -40F to 176F. The minimum application temperature is 50F. The recommended outdoor use is approximately 2 years.

Tip of the Trade: Pitbull Vinyl is a great solution when sticking to low surface energy plastics or powder coats.
Most Suitable for Larger Labels: Easy Apply 220 Vinyl Labels
Easy Apply 220 vinyl is a 2 mil, repositionable vinyl graphic film. Its unique construction is designed to eliminate air bubbles to make label application faster and easier than ever. This unique feature allows air to escape through microreplicated channels under the film’s surface for easier application.
This vinyl is ideal for larger graphics over corrugated and riveted surfaces. Easy Apply vinyl can be used on a wide variety of substrates including ABS resins, aluminum, chrome, glass, fiberglass reinforced plastics, painted surfaces and flat or simple curved surfaces, with and without rivets.
This vinyl as a grey-pigmented, pressure-sensitive adhesive which allows for optimum color opacity.

Tip of the Trade: Your time is money! Applying larger labels with Easy Apply 220 vinyl is faster and less frustrating. If you want to cover up something underneath where the label is applied, choose this material due to its pigmented adhesive.
Most Removable Labels: InstaChange™ Vinyl Labels
InstaChange™ 5 mil thick film is a durable, scratch-resistant vinyl ideally suited for interior and exterior signs or labels that you want to remove without leaving adhesive residue on the surface.
This film has superior hiding power because of its grey pigmented adhesive. Designed for application to flat surfaces with and without rivets. We recommend testing all painted surfaces first to determine removal effects of InstaChange™ on surfaces.

Tip of the Trade: Removable vinyl can be removed for up to 2 years without leaving adhesive residue on your application surface. Not intended for re-use after removal.
POLYESTER LABELS & DECALS
Unlike vinyl, polyester doesn’t stretch and can withstand higher temperatures up to 302 degrees F.
Most Temperature Resistant and Dimensionally Stable Labels: High Bond Polyester
High bond polyester labels are 2 mils thick and available in white, matte silver and brushed silver. They can be flood coated with color as required and the protected with an overlaminate for edge-to-edge image protection.

Tip of the Trade: Consider polyester labels for flat surfaces with high temperature exposure.
Most Tamperproof Labels: Security Label Stock
For commercial and industrial applications where tamper resistance, heat resistance (avoid continuous exposure to temperatures above 104 degrees F) and dimensional stability are required, the Photo-Graphic Co., Inc. tamperproof polyester labels are ideally suited.
When labels are adhered to stainless steel, acrylic and polypropylene, tampering is evident by leaving a "VOID" pattern on the application surface.
This unique polyester can be used on many additional substrates. Users should test the surface for suitability. Activation of the tamper evident feature will occur two hours after application at room temperature. The removed label cannot be reapplied.
Our tamperproof polyester can withstand household cleaners, mild acids, oil and water. Available in silver (another background color can be printed).

Tip of the Trade: Tamperproof labels leave evidence of removal which is not a guarantee they cannot be removed. Test products with different adhesives to find the strongest bond if difficulty of removal is your priority.

What if I need a custom design and do not have a drawing or artwork?
No problem. Tell us what information you want included and we will complete the design and supply you a proof for your approval. You can rely on our extensive experience designing custom labels. You can have as much or as little input as you wish.
Can I put variable information on my labels?
For sure. We can include any amount of variable information you require including serial numbers, barcodes, unique equipment ID information, etc.
How many should I order to get a good price?
We specialize in short runs and require no minimum order. We recommend ordering 6 months to 1 year estimated usage. It is best to apply the labels within one year of receipt.
Can I write in information on the labels?
You can use a permanent marker to write on any of our labels. If you want to use a pen or other writing instrument, please inquire about our writeable polyester and writeable overlaminate.
