  • Highly chemical resistant

  • Can be drilled without cracking

  • Is very flexible and can be bent without damage

  • Low level of flammability

  • Offers excellent printed image protection

.005 Velvet Lexan® Overlaminate (Indoor / Outdoor)

Gaining in popularity due its myriad of useful applications and low cost, our Lexan® polycarbonate labels can be printed on any of our non-metal materials and laminated with our outdoor durable, 5 mil thick Velvet Lexan® overlaminate.

For the look, feel, and durability of a Lexan® polycarbonate label, without the thickness or cost of a 10 mil Lexan® material, this is your answer. Our 5 mil UL recognized Lexan® overlaminate is applied after printing. The image is protected and retains all the benefits of a true Lexan® polycarbonate label.

Advantages of selecting a Lexan® polycarbonate overlaminate:

  • The labels are printed on a white (or other color) base material rather than a clear Lexan® polycarbonate material resulting in a more opaque label.

  • Benefit from the performance and appearance of a Lexan® polycarbonate label without the high cost.

  • More label thickness options.

FAQ’s

Can I put variable information on my labels?

For sure. We can include any amount of variable information you require including serial numbers, barcodes, unique equipment ID information (UID), etc.

How many should I order to get a good price?

We specialize in short runs and require no minimum order. We recommend ordering a 6 months to 1 year estimated usage. It is best to apply the labels within one year of receipt.

Are Lexan® labels more durable than anodized aluminum nameplates?

No. They are second best. Lexan® polycarbonate labels are less in cost and have more color flexibility. Lexan® labels will have a more upscale appearance in comparison to a decal.

Tip of the Trade: If your labels will be exposed to constant sunlight, Lexan® can yellow over time depending on the degree of exposure. Be aware but don’t be deterred because the pros of this material far outweigh the cons.
