UID Labels / Barcode Labels.
For faster inventory tracking.
UID LABELS
Unique Identification Barcodes (UID), can be included on any anodized aluminum nameplate, aluminum foil label, or vinyl/polyester custom decal.
UID labels are mandated by the United States Department of Defense for permanent marking of equipment that insures control of inventory throughout an item’s lifecycle. UID labels support inventory control in many business applications and are commonly preferred to encode data unique to the asset.
MIL-STD-130 requirements for UID labels are commonplace and require specific data to be included in the UID. Drawings may refer to “Construct 1” or “Construct 2” which mandate certain information and formatting. We have extensive experience in meeting this standard and will insure compliance.
BENEFITS OF ADDING A UID BARCODE TO YOUR LABEL
More tracking information can be included in a small space.
Identification information can be included without being human readable.
Speeds up tracking and electronic recording.
Universal appeal regardless of application.
FAQ’s
How can I be sure the UID label is correct if I don’t have a scanner or any way to verify?
We can provide a UID verification report that confirms the information in the UID and that it can be successfully scanned.
Can I include as much information I want in the UID?
There is flexibility in the amount of information that can be put in the UID barcode if compliance to a specific standard isn’t required. We will work with you to include the information you want within the size and overall design of the nameplate or label.
BARCODE LABELS
Barcode labels are in high demand for inventory control, electronic information transfer, and security. These include 1D and 2D symbologies such as Code 39, 128, PDF417, Data Matrix, and QR codes.
Two dimensional barcodes are growing in popularity because they can encode a large amount of data into a small amount of space. Barcode labels can be human readable or not and manufactured in any custom size desired.
The Plus Side of Photo-Graphics Co. Barcode Labels
Photosensitive anodized aluminum barcode labels, or Metalphoto®, are imaged in metal at the highest resolution. Because the image is permanent and cannot be scratched off, readability of the bar code over time is insured.
Our digitally printed custom labels and decals maintain consistent quality throughout the lot. Since we aren’t using typical screening inks, you have assurance that every label will be printed at high resolution and scannable. Labels can be overlaminated for additional abrasion resistance.
FAQ’s
What if I have multiple model numbers and need barcode labels that aren’t consecutively numbered?
No problem. We can customize as much as you need.
What if I want my nameplate to have a black background? Will the barcode be readable?
We may recommend a slim silver box around the black barcode so it can be scanned with ease. The rest of the image can be natural silver on a solid black background. We will guide you based on the type of barcode you need and the overall design desired. We will always insure the integrity of the barcode.
